Shh… don't tell anyone I'm poor. They all think I'm living frugal and green just like everyone these days. This is a blog about a senior citizen living a frugal life, on a fixed income, in a low income food desert, and passing along knowledge from lessons learned. Some she learned from her Grandma Mama many years ago and some learned only a few days ago.
I hope everyone had a safe celebration. It was quite noisy around here because people like to test their guns at midnight. Furkid Dylan and I stayed in the center of the house just in case there were some stray bullets to hit the house. None happened thank goodness.
Today was my birthday. Nothing special was planned. Just a relaxing day at home. Geeze it’s hard to believe a whole year has gone by again. It seems like only a couple of months ago that I celebrated the last birthday.
I thought about getting in the kitchen to cook something up special then decided not to because I just wanted to relax. I watched movies, took a nap, and watched more movies. My daughter wanted to take me out for dinner but I asked if she would wait until the weekend instead.
What will the new year bring? Only one way to find out and that is to live it.
