Shh… don't tell anyone I'm poor. They all think I'm living frugal and green just like everyone these days. This is a blog about a senior citizen living a frugal life, on a fixed income, in a low income food desert, and passing along knowledge from lessons learned. Some she learned from her Grandma Mama many years ago and some learned only a few days ago.
You may have wondered why I haven’t posted in the last few days. Well, as I wrote in an earlier post that I went back to doing quilting work. But, I had to take a few days off from the quilting for customers to make one for my newest grand daughter. Due to arrive the end of March. This is when I was making the pieces and pinning them to a design board.
I needed to have it finished by the baby shower which was yesterday. Everyone liked the quilt. My daughter was very surprised. She didn’t know I was making it. When my daughter held it up for everyone to see, Spanky took one look and ran right up to hug the new kid he had just spotted.
That was so cute! Yes, he’s a hugger. Loves to hug everybody. Apparently the quilt got his approval. I couldn’t ask for a better compliment than that.
