Na Na pinches her pennies

Shh… don't tell anyone I'm poor. They all think I'm living frugal and green just like everyone these days. This is a blog about a senior citizen living a frugal life, on a fixed income, in a low income food desert, and passing along knowledge from lessons learned. Some she learned from her Grandma Mama many years ago and some learned only a few days ago.

Yippie!

This is the reason I got my Fauci ouchies and I’m so glad I did. Please share it with anyone having doubts about the vaccine.

A year of covid isolation has taken a big toll on my health and weight. Not only am I clearing my house of STUFF to get back into quilting but I’m preparing myself for a better diet.

Hugs from KY

So glad you kept yourself safe during this terrible time. Yes, I got my vaccines too, and am emerging more from isolation. Slowly.

Looking forward to reading more about your adventures and ideas

Thanks Catherine. I’m glad you are safe too. I’m downsizing my stuff and getting ready to do quilt work again. Things I should have been doing all last year while in isolation but didn’t.

i have been hugging my family all through this thing. I did not get the shot, nor do I plan to. I don’t do restaurants or crowds, but I don’t do them anyway. I just wear my mask and social distance, unless I am outside. Then the social distance idea goes away.

Saw my dr today in person after 15 months. Need 1 medicine increased & added another. Must also watch weight & blood pressure more carefully.
So I will be thinking of you, Nana & rereading your older blogs for inspiration.
We did it before, this time will just take a bit longer — but what is more important at this stage of life??
Wishing you many more visits with the grands!!

I’ve been re-reading my posts too to refresh my memory. I lost my enthusiasm and motivation last year while sleeping my life away. My next in person Dr visit and lab work is late July. Yes, we did it before, we CAN do it again.

Congratulations, it must have felt heavenly to be able to hug them again!

Husband had his second dose of vaccine on Friday and I can’t deny, it made me really emotional as the lady gave him the dose and filled his little card out. At least he is more protected now, and with every dose we give, a degree of normality comes closer and closer within reach.

You’ll know the feeling too with your first hugs of family.
